Implementation Of "Standards For The Limits Of Harmful Substances In Leather And Fur"
GB20400-2006 leather and fur harmful substances standards, which are concerned by the upstream and downstream enterprises of leather and fur industry, will be formally implemented in December 1, 2007.
This standard applies to household leather and fur products (Cheng Pinji).
This standard does not apply to leather and fur products used for industrial and special industries, nor is it for export products. The export products should be in accordance with the stipulations of the export contract and the importing country.
Leather and fur products here refer to finished leather and finished fur made from tanned leather or fur.
According to the use of leather and fur and the health needs of human beings, the standard can decompose harmful substances into harmful aromatic amine dyes and free formaldehyde, which are divided into three grades, namely, class A, infant products, class B, products that are directly exposed to the skin, class C, products that are not directly exposed to the skin.
