3 Different Models Of 10 Unmanned Reconnaissance Aircraft Will Be Visited For The First Time.

The PLA unmanned reconnaissance aircraft will debut for the 60th anniversary National Day parade in October 1st.


UAV is a kind of pilotless aircraft controlled by radio remote control equipment or its own program.

It has the ability of reconnaissance and jamming, and has the ability of attack. It has long endurance, strong battlefield survivability, and no risk of casualties.

Since the war stage in 1960s, UAVs have played a great role in reconnaissance, early warning, command control and precision strike, and have become another multiplier of combat effectiveness.


According to Wang Baorong, captain of the UAV team, the UAV can be divided into short distance, medium range and long distance UAVs according to the distance of flight. According to the operational performance, UAVs can be divided into tactical, operational and strategic UAVs. They can be divided into reconnaissance planes, jammers and attack aircraft according to their usage.

The reconnaissance aircraft is used for battlefield reconnaissance and surveillance, location, shooting, damage assessment and other tasks. It can also be used for civil tasks such as border patrol, nuclear radiation detection, aerial photography, aviation prospecting, disaster monitoring, traffic patrolling, public order monitoring and so on.


There are 10 unmanned reconnaissance aircraft participating in the national day. They are 3 short-range tactical and medium range UAV reconnaissance aircraft made in China.


The UAV team is from an unmanned reconnaissance unit, which is a young force in the PLA's sequence. Since its establishment, they have accomplished many important tasks entrusted by the Military Commission and headquarters.
