FESI Sues EU To Impose Anti-Dumping Duties On Sino Vietnamese Shoe Imports

According to "economic weekly" April 19th, the European sports brand manufacturers Federation (FESI) recently filed a lawsuit against the European Union, demanding that the EU cancel the import of footwear from China and Vietnam. Anti-dumping Tax. Adidas manager Maier, director of the FESI trade and Customs Committee, said that almost all European sports brand manufacturers are producing in China and Vietnam. Anti-dumping Taxes are particularly damaging to manufacturers that sell products back to Europe. Since the European Union introduced the tax in 2006, European footwear manufacturers have paid 1 billion euros for this purpose. Competition said that at the end of last year, the EU decided to extend the levy for 15 months. FESI's lawsuit was difficult to obtain the court's decision during the extension period, but hoped that this action could prevent the EU from extending the tax period again.
