QQ Trademark Overseas Rights Protection Case Opens In August 31St

Following Wang Zhi he's "first case of overseas Chinese rights protection", he will also hear a case of trademark infringement from OKAI.

Yesterday, Li Huifen, deputy general manager of the market headquarters of qqc, said that the case of trademark rights protection will be heard in the Munich District Court in August 31st.

It is understood that since the end of 2006, the media revealed that the QQ trademark was first registered in Germany by OKAI company, and the company had formally filed a lawsuit against the Munich District Court in Germany in January this year, demanding that OKAI company cancel the "qqa" trademark of illegal rush registration.

In March 1st, the Munich District Court accepted the application formally, but the two time objection from the other dealer made the court postponed.

Prior to this, in addition to snatch the brand, Wang Zhihe also grabbed the domestic brands such as "Wang Zhihe", "White House" and "Lao Gan Ma".

Although there are few successful cases of Chinese companies' overseas rights protection, insiders believe that Wang Zhihe's victory in the past year has made a way for Chinese enterprises to take overseas litigation. This makes it easy for the court to see the obvious subjective malice of OKAI company, and also conducive to the right of the company to win the lawsuit.
