Reporters learned from the Shantou customs today that in the first half of the year, the value of foreign trade and import and export of Chaozhou, Guangdong, was 1 billion 650 million US dollars, an increase of 42.6% over the same period last year.
Among them, exports amounted to 1 billion 20 million US dollars, an increase of 29.5%, and imports of US $630 million, an increase of 70.3%.
ASEAN has become the main import and export market in the city.
According to reports, the main export markets of Chaozhou in the first half of the year are the European Union, the United States, ASEAN and Hongkong. The main source of imports is ASEAN, Australia and Columbia.
Among them, the export of the city's enterprises to ASEAN reached US $87 million 370 thousand, an increase of 19.1% over the same period last year. During the same period, the city's import from ASEAN reached US $230 million, an increase of 1.8 times compared with the same period last year.

The main imports are coal and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The total imports accounted for 87% of the total import value of the city in the same period.
