Caroline Sack Kendem, chairman of ICOTEC, said that with the support of government funds, the association will organize textile enterprises to strive to achieve the goal of processing 40% cotton in 2015 in China in 2015. She said there were more than 30 textile enterprises in Cameroon in the 80s of last century, but only two to three developed in the last 10 years.


According to statistics, the demand for textiles in Cameroon is very large, and the annual average consumption of the residents is about 150 billion. But the main problems encountered by textile enterprises are inadequate supply of raw materials, low quality of products, and the recruitment and training of labor force can not meet production needs.
