Ethiopia Will Raise Its Clothing Export Revenue To $1 Billion.

Ethiopia announced that it would increase its clothing export revenue to $1 billion in 5 years, announced by the Ethiopia Textile Industry Development Council.


At a meeting held on Sunday, the director of the textile industry development bureau said that the state initiated the action of exporting clothing revenue to US $1 billion, and predicted that this goal could be achieved.

The state will strive to minimize the consumption of local clothing and increase export revenue.

At present, clothing consumption in China reaches 90%.


After 5 years, the goal of Ethiopia's clothing export is 40 times that of the just concluded fiscal year. The export revenue of the just concluded fiscal year was 25 million dollars, while the export figure 8 years ago was 4 million dollars.

In Ethiopia, 42 middle and high level enterprises are engaged in the textile sector and directly or indirectly participate in the export trade.
