China Meteorological Administration: Suggestions For Analysis Of Agricultural Production

The decision making meteorological service center of the China Meteorological Administration issued the agricultural meteorological forecast and production proposals in early August. The details are as follows:

Agro meteorological conditions and effects in January and August

(1) the precipitation in Northeast China is excessive, and the soil in some areas is too wet.

The precipitation in Northeast China is more than that. In some parts of Jilin and Liaoning, the precipitation is 100~150 millimeters, 3~7 more than that in the same period of the year, and 1~2 times more than that in some parts of the country. The main rainfall process appeared in from August 3rd to 4th and 8 days ago.

Soil in northeast part of central and southern part of Heilongjiang and northeast part of China will continue to be wet. Waterlogging in some farmland will be harmful to the growth and development of dry land crops.

(two) precipitation in North China has eased, and drought in central Shanxi has eased. Most of the eastern part of Northwest China and Inner Mongolia have less rainfall, and drought will continue or develop.

There will be two rainfall processes in North China before and after from August 3rd to 4th and 8 days. The rainfall will be 40~80 millimeters, which is conducive to soil moisture increase. Drought in central Shanxi and other places is expected to be eased to some extent, which is conducive to the tassel of spring maize. In the eastern part of Northwest China and Inner Mongolia, there is little rainfall, which is beneficial to mature spring wheat. However, drought in northern Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia will continue to develop in the Middle East, which will be unfavorable for the growth of crops and pasture.

(three) Jianghuai,

In from August 1st to 8th, Western Huang Huai, Jianghan, Jianghuai, Jiangnan and other places will be dominated by high temperature and short rain. The maximum daily temperature is generally 35~38 degrees Celsius and 39~40 degrees in some areas.

The soil wet condition in Jianghuai and Jianghan areas will be improved. However, the high temperature will cause adverse effects on Huang Huai summer corn, and the young spike differentiation of the rice in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, which will easily lead to the cotton boll abscission in the the Yellow River River Basin and the Yangtze River Basin.

(four) the high temperature and short rainy weather in the Jiangnan area is not conducive to the pplanting and returning green to the late rice. In the first ten days, 1 tropical storms will affect the coastal areas of Southern China, which will be harmful to the coastal agricultural production.

In from August 1st to 8th, there was high temperature and less rain in the south of the Yangtze River. The daily maximum temperature was between 35~38 degrees, which was not conducive to the pplanting and returning green growth of late rice. In from August 5th to 7th, there would be 1 tropical zones.

(five) there will be continuous high temperature and little rain in Sichuan basin, which is unfavorable to the grain filling and spring maize filling.

In from August 3rd to 8th, there will be a continuous high temperature and less rainy weather at 35~39 degrees Celsius in the Sichuan basin, which is not conducive to the heading, flowering and spring maize of the one season rice.

Two. Suggestions for agricultural production

First, it is necessary to strengthen field management in all parts of the country, weed out weeds in the field timely, improve ventilation and light pmittance, and rationally fertilize, so as to promote the yield formation of autumn harvest crops.

The northeast region should pay close attention to the process of heavy rainfall, clear drainage and drainage in time, reduce the harm of waterlogging, and timely harvest dry spring wheat in Northwest China, and strive to return grains to the storehouse. North China should seize the opportunity of precipitation, strengthen water storage and water conservation, and rationally irrigate to ensure the growth and development of crops at the later stage.

Two, in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, we should strengthen the field management of crops which are damaged by waterlogging in the early stage. In view of the growth of crops, we should increase the application of quick acting fertilizers to promote the pformation of seedling conditions.

In areas with high temperature, soil moisture management should be strengthened to reduce the adverse effects of hot weather on the growth and development of crops such as rice and cotton.

Three, Jiangnan and Southern China should avoid pplanting late rice at high temperature and strengthen field management after pplanting of late rice.

In addition, Southern China coastal areas should pay attention to prevent the tropical storm from causing losses to agricultural production.

Four, we should strengthen monitoring and control of pests and diseases in rice, cotton and corn.
