At the recent meeting of the Executive Committee of the all Pakistan Textile Mills Association, it was said that the export of cotton yarn should not be subject to any tariff.

Fahimi announced that he would convene monthly meetings and discuss with all stakeholders to solve these problems.
Referring to the coherence of trade policy as a mechanism to promote industrial development, he said that the Ministry of Commerce drafted a three year trade policy at its last meeting, but he personally supported five years of trade policy.
Fahimi assured all members of the Pakistan Textile Mills Association that all the problems will be solved. The Ministry of Commerce has already understood the problems of the textile industry well, but it takes time to solve them, because other ministers are also related to these problems.
The government has already contacted the World Trade Organization and strives for zero tariffs on cotton yarn exports to the EU. This problem may soon be solved.
