Clothes made of natural fibers, such as wool, are comfortable and hygroscopic, but have poor toughness. The raw materials such as chemical fiber and so on are strong, wearable and not breathable.

How can we make the best of both worlds?

Professor Wang Xun, the national "thousand person program", was appointed dean of the Textile College of Wuhan Textile University. At the ceremony, he revealed that the school had developed a new textile technology, integrating natural fibers and synthetic fibers into a new fiber.

According to the introduction, the technology can not only make good use of natural fiber materials with good material quality, but also some raw materials, such as wool, silk waste, feather and other animal hair, which can not be used directly for textile processing, can also "turn waste into treasure".

According to Wang Xun, the fiber materials of "harmony between man and nature" have very good market prospects, but at present, they are mostly made in the laboratory and unable to achieve commercial capacity.

"The main reason is that companies are busy with routine production and have no time to update their equipment and use new technologies."
