Cotton consultant and chairman Nassim Usman (Naseem Usman) revealed that there are about 960 flower ginning plants throughout the country.
About 720 of them are in Punjab, 250 in Sindh, and the rest in Baluchistan.
The government has determined that this year's production target is 15 million bales of cotton.
Last year it produced 11 million 700 thousand bales of cotton, but the target was 14 million bales of cotton.
