Customs General Administration: Lai Changxing Investigation Smoothly

Yesterday, the State Council held a press conference on optimizing customs supervision and services and foreign trade growth.

The case shall be pferred to the procuratorial organ for examination and prosecution after the investigation is terminated by the customs anti smuggling department.

According to the director general of the Customs General Administration, a total of 31 suspects who had absconded outside the Xiamen smuggling case had been brought to justice since the April 2001 withdrawal of the ad hoc group in Xiamen.
