The Brazil authorities said on Tuesday that they had reached a settlement with the Spanish clothing retailer Zara on suspicion of using slave labor, which agreed to accept a $1 million 800 thousand fine, which was substantially reduced compared to the original request of $10 million 700 thousand.

In August of this year, Zara was accused of offering blood and sweat in Brazil.
