South Korea'S Consumer Confidence Dropped Sharply &Nbsp In December, The Biggest Monthly Decline Since March This Year.

South Korean Central Bank data released on Tuesday showed that South Korea's consumer confidence index fell sharply in December compared with November, which is worrying because of the euro zone fiscal crisis and the global economic slowdown.


South Korea's central bank said consumer confidence in December was 103 from November.

This is third times less than 100 in five months.


The index is lower than 100, indicating that the number of consumers expected to deteriorate in the future economic and living conditions is greater than the number of consumers expected to improve in the future economic and living conditions.


The central bank also said that the inflation rate of consumers in the next 12 months in December

Expect

From 4.1% in November to 4%, it was the lowest in July this year.


Inflation rate is expected to reach 4.3% in September, which is the third consecutive month of decline, but still at the high end of the central bank's 2-4% inflation target range.


The Central Bank of Korea surveyed more than 2000 families on 56 December, covering 56 major cities in the country.
