Expectant Mothers Need No Radiation Protection Clothing.

There is such a formulation that there is no need to discuss the quality of things, because it is not a problem, and your choice is the problem.

This winter, people seem to be able to answer the question of whether mothers wear protective clothing to protect the fetus.

The lack of cognition on electromagnetic radiation directly causes people to misjudge the function of radiation protection clothing, so we only have a scientific and reasonable understanding of cognitive electromagnetism.

radiation

In order to protect science and relieve people's panic.

Use exposure limits to determine whether protection is required.

Whether pregnant women and other special groups need to wear protective clothing is a focus of debate.

It is understood that human beings are located in

electromagnetism

The environment is very complex. In addition to the natural electromagnetic radiation sources, there are numerous sources of human beings.

The artificial radiation sources are divided into two kinds: closed source and open source. Closed source can adopt a reliable closed method to prevent damage to human body, and open source can reasonably set up warning area to prevent damage to human body.

To determine the need for protection, the protective clothing must be used according to the exposure limit. When the electromagnetic field intensity is higher than the exposure limit, protective clothing can be used.

Because of the harmfulness of electromagnetic radiation, such as nuclear radiation and X rays, there are serious ionizing radiation. Therefore, we should use "exposure" to describe the limits of electromagnetic radiation.

Limit value

Rather than "radiation limits".

What is the current electromagnetic environment in China? After conducting a large number of electromagnetic environment measurements, the environmental monitoring unit concluded that the public environment is supervised by the national or departmental standards such as the electromagnetic radiation protection regulations (GB 8702-88), the radiation environmental protection management guidelines - electromagnetic radiation environmental impact assessment methods and standards (HJ/T10.3-1996), and any construction projects with electromagnetic radiation properties must be monitored by electromagnetic radiation and environmental impact assessment of electromagnetic radiation, which can be built after meeting the requirements of environmental protection.

Therefore, the public environmental electromagnetic field is generally not exceeding the standard, and the public environment is actually very safe.

According to Dr. Shi Meiwu, senior engineer of the Quartermaster Equipment Research Institute of the General Logistics Department, in China's electromagnetic exposure limits, the factors that need to be strengthened for the elderly, pregnant women and children have been fully considered. The exposure limit is smaller, that is, only the electromagnetic field strength is lower than that of the occupant.

In most cases, the environmental electromagnetic field monitoring value is far from the exposure limit, so there is no need to wear protective clothing to protect the safety and health of the human body.

For the working environment with strong electromagnetic field, we should strengthen the detection. According to the degree of electromagnetic field intensity exceeding the standard, according to the national exposure limit standard, we should determine the shielding effectiveness of the radiation protection clothing, so that the electromagnetic field intensity around the human body in the clothing is lower than the national exposure limit.

China has a clear protective clothing standard.

There is no standard for electromagnetic radiation protective clothing. This is another focus of controversy over radiation protection clothing.

At present, our country has a clear standard -- "GB/T 23463-2009 protective clothing microwave radiation protective clothing", which stipulates the basic conditions for wearing protective clothing and the performance requirements of protective clothing.

It is understood that since 2007, the General Logistics Department Quartermaster Equipment Research Institute has undertaken the task of compiling the "protective clothing electromagnetic radiation protective clothing" standard.

In April 1, 2009, GB/T 23463-2009 protective clothing microwave protective clothing was released and implemented in December 1, 2009.

Before the introduction of this standard, there were only two electromagnetic radiation protective clothing standards in the world: one is the MIL-C-82296B-1984 microwave radiation protection uniforms, the original US military standard appeared in 1976, but was abolished in 1990; the other was the German DIN 32780-1002002 "protective clothing 100th part of the frequency range 80MHz to 1GHz electromagnetic field protection requirements and test methods", which is also an effective international electromagnetic radiation protection clothing standard.

Radiation shielding is not realistic.

Is the radiation proof clothing effective? Dr. Shi Mei Wu has proved by professional tests that even if the flexible shielding material with shielding effectiveness of 70 decibels is used as raw material, shielding effectiveness will be greatly reduced after making clothing, and the chest shielding effectiveness of the protective clothing for working clothes is only 20~30 dB, while the coat style is lower.

Because clothing has structural openings and holes, even the high collar, waist pinch and overalls work style will also cause the electromagnetic waves to enter into the interior of the garment due to the existence of holes such as necklines, cuffs, cardigan and even buttonholes.

For the existing radiation protection clothing for pregnant women, the coverage is limited, not to mention airtight. The protection effect is very limited when the strong electromagnetic field is really touched.

Three principles of radiation protection

Dr. Shi Meiwu told reporters that nuclear radiation protection must follow three principles: justification of radiation practice, optimization of radiation protection, and restriction of individual equivalent dose.

Electromagnetic exposure should also be referenced to this principle.

That is to say, the public should not go to the workplace; the professionals who have to work should do the most reliable protection; in case of unreliable protection, a certain dose is not allowed to reach a certain dose, so that they can not work continuously.

Nuclear radiation is such a protection, electromagnetic field in the human body should also be so protective.
