Nepal's RMG exports to India were 100 million rupees, down 62.5% from 267 million rupees in the same period last year, while the RMG exports to other countries dropped by 46% to 1 billion 280 million rupees.

The export of shawls in Nepal has declined over the past few years, and the shawl businesses worry that the government's promotion is not enough to support the shawl industry to develop new markets. P

Nepal exported 4 billion 950 million rupees to third world countries, down 12.9% from the same period last year.

Over the same period, Nepal imported 2 billion 470 million rupees from India, 9% less than the previous fiscal year, and 27.9% from third world countries, mainly China, with an import volume of 2 billion 500 million rupees.
