< p > recently, the women's shoes exported to France in Wenzhou were informed by the European Union because of the problem that the six valence chromium exceeded the standard. In June, the four children's shoes exported to France and Spain were issued by consumers in the EU's non food quick warning system (RAPEX) because of the excessive chromium. In February, the European Commission's non food quick warning system issued a consumer warning to Chinese leather gloves because the leather gloves contained 6mg/kg chromium.

< p > over the past two years, the Chinese made "a href=" http:// "www.sjfzxm.com/news/index_c.asp" > shoes and clothing < /a > leather products have been recalled by the European Union and other countries. The reasons for the announcement are chromium exceeding the standard.

< p > "six valence chromium" is recognized as a carcinogenic high toxic substance. This substance can cause allergy through skin contact and has a lasting danger to the environment. Therefore, there are very strict regulations on the chromium content in products directly contacted with shoes and clothes, leather and other countries. The EU countries have strict restrictions on the chromium content of products. What most enterprises know is the "chemicals registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction regulation" issued by the European Commission (REACH regulations). However, this is only a general standard.

< p > March 26th this year, < a href= "http:// www.sjfzxm.com/news/index_c.asp" > EU Commission < /a > revised the annex 17 of REACH regulations, limiting the six valent chromium (VI) content of imported leather products to 3ppm, or three parts per million, and the new regulation will come into effect in May 1, 2015.

Before the promulgation of the new rules, only Germany had imposed a ban on the six valence chromium content of clothing, watch bands, bags, chairs, sofa, neck bags and leather toys, and the requirements of other EU member countries for six valent chromium were controlled at 1000ppm, and the difference between the two was more than 333 times that of 3ppm.

At present, France, Spain and Slovakia have begun to control the six valent chromium content according to the new regulations, and issued RAPEX bulletins for over standard products.

< p > in addition, more attention should be paid to the safety footwear standards adopted by the European Commission for Standardization in 2012 and the eco textile standard Oeko-Tex100 issued in 2014. In the 2012 safety shoes standards, the six valence chromium content of safety shoes should not exceed 3ppm, but only within the limits of safety shoes. "CEN"

The 2014 edition of eco textile has a requirement of <0.5ppm for < a href= "http:// www.sjfzxm.com/news/index_c.asp" > six valent chromium < /a >, and the limit of Chrome for leather products in ecological textiles is 10ppm.
