< p > recently, < a href= "http://sjfzxm.com//business/" > EU < /a > non food quick warning system (RAPEX) issued consumer warnings to four children's shoes exported to France and Spain by China. The reason is that the "six valent chromium" exceeds the standard in children's shoes. One of the children's shoes exceeds the standard of 100ppm, which is 33 times the highest limit 3ppm of France, Spain and other countries to the "six valent chromium", and the four children's shoes have been forced to withdraw from the market.

< p > according to media reports, in March 26th this year, the European Commission amended the annex 17 of the REACH code, limiting the six valent chromium (VI) content of imported leather products to 3ppm, or three parts per million.

The new regulation will take effect in May 1, 2015.

Prior to this, only Germany in the European Union had banned the six valence chromium content of clothing, watch bands, bags, chairs, sofa, neck bags and leather toys, which were not more than 3ppm, while the other EU Member States currently control the demand of six valent chromium at 1000ppm, and the difference between the two was more than 333 times.

What is more concerned is that in the 2014 edition of the eco textile standard Oeko-Tex100, the requirement of six valent chromium for Eco textiles is <0.5ppm, and the limit of heavy metal chromium in leather products is 10ppm.

< p > reporter has learned that "six valent chromium" is a kind of swallowing / inhaling poison. Skin contact can lead to allergy, which is more likely to cause genetic genetic defects. Inhalation may cause cancer and endanger the environment.

The sources of "six valent chromium" in leather production are mainly two aspects: first, the "six valent chromium" may be produced in tanning process of leather making industry; two, the "six valent chromium" may be contained in tannery materials, especially additives.

< p > not only is the quality problem of "six valent chromium" exceeding the standard of export shoes products, but also the quality of children's shoes products in the domestic market.

It is understood that in recent years, Shanghai Quality Supervision Bureau of Shanghai some children's products for random inspection, sampling results showed that a sample of a brand of children's shoes wear resistance and six valent chromium exceeded the standard, is a serious quality problem.

2013 (2013 stores) in October, Xinhua (Xinhua store) reported that the Fujian Provincial Bureau of industry and Commerce inspecting the quality of children's shoes in the circulation link of the province, and a "brand kids" product failed to be sampled. In 2012, some of the leather shoes sampled by the Shaanxi provincial quality Supervision Bureau were unqualified products. The reason was that the peel strength of the bottom was not enough.

< p > in addition, recently, the quality supervision department of Zhejiang province conducted spot checks on 50 batches of children's shoes products in 50 enterprises of 3 regions, such as Wenzhou, Lishui and Jinhua. The results showed that the 17 batches of children's shoes produced by Wenzhou kuoxi small Simba children's shoes factory, Zhejiang double shell shoes industry, Zhejiang Xin Shun shoe industry and other units failed, and the batches failed rate was 34%.

Unqualified products are mainly concentrated in six valent chromium, free formaldehyde, wear resistance, standard and other items.

Some of the inferior children's shoes have strong pungent odor, and the existence of free formaldehyde exceeds the standard.

In order to make Chinese shoes smoothly enter the EU market, exporters should not only pay attention to the requirements of various importing countries for the "six valence chromium", but also define the quality assurance clauses, adjust the tanning process and ensure the quality of products.

< p > industry insiders said that shoemaking Export enterprises should pay close attention to the differences in the "six valence chromium" limits of different importing countries, especially Germany, France, Italy, Spain and other countries, which require a higher limit of 3ppm.

At the same time, export enterprises should control the source, strengthen supplier management, do not arbitrarily purchase raw materials from non qualified suppliers, clarify the quality assurance provisions, and carry out six valent chromium testing on chrome powder used in leather making.

In addition, shoemaking enterprises should control the production process and adjust tannery technology, such as the use of plant retanning agents, the use of reductive neutralization agents and retanning agents, the use of antioxidants as fatliquoring aids when leather fatliquoring, so as to ensure that there is no excessive six valence chromium in the production process.
