The European Commission has issued a summary of the regulations that will take effect in 2015, including amendments to REACH regulations and CLP regulations.

In the revision of the REACH regulations, including amendments to appendix 17, 9 new substances were added to the list of substance CMR.

The amendment will take effect from January 1, 2015, which means that substances or mixtures containing these components will be banned from sale to the public if their content exceeds the limit of concentration.

It includes the reclassification and labelling of substances according to the EU CLP regulations, the introduction of "readjustment of technological progress" for mixtures, and the buffer period of several departmental regulations under the CLP standard, including detergents, paints, electrical and electronic equipment and protection of workers.

The appendix of cosmetic products regulations has also been revised.

The revised regulations will come into effect for the first time in April 16, 2015. The regulations include the maximum allowable maximum concentration of propyl hydroxybenzoate and butyl paraben for conventional makeup products, while the two substances will be banned in baby diapers as "resident products".

Similarly, the use of the mixture of methyl chloroisothiazolone and class a isothiazolone (MCI/MI) will be banned after July 16, 2015, in "resident products" such as body milk, but for rinsed products, it can still be used within a certain concentration limit.

In the EU regulations on food contact plastics, regulations on additives other than plasticizers in plastic layer or bottle cap and bottle stopper plastic layer will be implemented in December 31, 2015.
