In April 25th, the European Commission lists the dangerous consumer goods list found in 2015, toys and Clothes & Accessories The proportion is significant.

According to the data provided by the European Commission, a total of 2072 consumer goods touched the European Union's "quick warning system" for consumer goods in 2015. Among them, the proportion of toys is 27%, ranking first; clothing, Knitwear The proportion is 17%, ranking second.

2072 hazardous consumer goods detected last year were mainly related to chemical pollution (25%), or may lead to disability (22%). The most common chemical pollution is mainly found in fashion Accessories and toys. Many fashion accessories contain harmful heavy metals such as nickel and lead. Some toys contain two phthalate esters plasticizer.

The European Commission has found that online shopping is the biggest challenge to track down dangerous consumer goods. Between 2006 and 2015, the proportion of online shopping in the EU increased by 27 percentage points, and over 65% of European consumers experienced online shopping. As the number of online shopping increases, more and more business organizations from outside the European Union send consumer goods directly to consumers through mailing, bypassing the inspection link of the EU quality inspection agency.

Vera Julova, a member of the EU justice, consumer rights and gender equality, admits that monitoring online shopping is one of the many challenges facing the EU's "rapid early warning system".

Vera Julova disclosed that the European Commission will further promote the "rapid warning system" to monitor online shopping. At present, the parties concerned have begun to cooperate with frontier inspection staff and cooperate with the network sales platform. In the future, the European Commission will further improve the monitoring of online sales.

According to the introduction, the European Union consumer goods "quick warning system" was built in 2003. Once EU member states find non edible products that may harm consumers' health, they can share information with other EU countries and the European Commission through this mechanism, and adopt corresponding measures within the EU (such as prohibition, return, recall, prohibition of entry to customs, etc.). At present, apart from the 28 members of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway are also members of this system.
