China Will Accelerate The Promotion Of Textile Industry "Belt And Road" Investment Layout In The Global Industrial Chain

Gao Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the China Textile Industry Federation, said recently that China will accelerate the investment and development of the "Belt and Road" in the textile industry, and guide enterprises to actively "go out" and layout the global industrial chain through overall planning, building a multilateral international exchange platform for the textile industry and other measures.

Gao Yong made the above statement recently at the 2019 textile industry "Belt and Road" conference held by China Textile Federation in Suzhou.

Gao Yong said that in recent years, China Textile Union has effectively improved the recognition of textile and clothing enterprises on the investment environment and promoted many overseas investment projects by building a multilateral international exchange platform and holding investment promotion conferences in key countries. Through "going out", the textile industry invests and merges in the upstream and downstream high-quality resources, advanced research and development capabilities, technologies, terminal channels and other fields of the industrial chain, effectively reduces production costs, resists disorderly competition, and gradually forms new advantages.

According to the data of China Textile Association, from 2015 to 2018, the cumulative direct investment of China's textile and clothing industry in countries along the "Belt and Road" accounted for more than 80% of the industry's total investment in the world over the same period. The textile and clothing industry has become the pilot and demonstration industry of the "Belt and Road" initiative.

Gao Yong said that in the future, the China Textile Association will strengthen the docking with countries and relevant regions along the "Belt and Road", accelerate the "Belt and Road" investment in the textile industry, and promote international production capacity cooperation in the textile field.

In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will strengthen international production capacity cooperation in the manufacturing industry, especially in textile, building materials and other fields, and promote the construction of overseas cooperation parks.
