Recently, the Longyan entry exit inspection and quarantine bureau continuously detected the 5 batch imported by Longyan LONCIN Textile Co., Ltd.

The Longyan inspection and Quarantine Bureau strictly inspected the imported cotton according to the entry cotton inspection regulations. After careful examination, the 5 batches of cotton were totally unqualified. Among them, a group of American raw cotton weighed 4359.6 kilograms and the short weight rate was 1.56%, which was the most serious shortage of imported cotton in Longyan. At the same time, another group of us raw cotton overflowed 282 kg.
The Longyan inspection and Quarantine Bureau immediately issued certificates and took measures to assist enterprises in making claims for short weight batches.
Entry cotton is one of the key sensitive commodities, which has a significant impact on cotton planting and textile industry in China.
After the global financial crisis, China's cotton textile enterprises developed rapidly, but the total domestic cotton production declined, and the price of imported cotton increased, and there were problems such as short weight and shoddy.
In view of many problems of imported cotton, Fujian entry-exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau recommends that importers should select qualified overseas suppliers as far as possible in the list of overseas suppliers that have been registered, while strengthening the evaluation of overseas suppliers, and defining relevant terms such as quality and weight when signing contracts, and safeguarding their legitimate rights.
