Lin Zhaojie, chairman of Taiwan footwear industry association, said in an interview with the morning paper reporter at the tenth Shoe Expo.

The tenth shoe fair, which opened in April 19th, will continue to expand the share of Taiwan business enterprises.

Lin Zhaojie, chairman of the footwear industry association of Taiwan, interviewed the Morning Post reporter during the exhibition. He said that with the deepening of the cross strait footwear industry, especially the Fujian and Taiwan footwear industry, the quality and brand of Chinese shoes will dominate the world in the future.

The exchange of shoes between the two sides can be traced back to the early 90s of last century. At that time, many Taiwanese businessmen slowly shifted the focus of the shoe industry to the mainland.

With the rapid development of the footwear industry in Jinjiang, the clustering effect is beginning to show. More and more Taiwan shoe factories and shoemaking enterprises are pouring into Jinjiang. They are involved in the production, supply and marketing chain of Jinjiang shoes, and play a good role in promoting the development of the cross-strait shoe industry.

Lin Zhaojie said that the shoe fair provided a brand new platform for Taiwan shoe machine enterprises to expand their markets in mainland China, and provided a good opportunity for cross-strait footwear industry to exchange technology and information.

The footwear industry in Taiwan has had a glorious period. However, due to the pfer of industries, Taiwan is now mainly concerned with shoemaking.

He said, "97%% is now on the mainland of Taiwan in the shoe machine industry."

When I talked about the feelings of Jinjiang in Quanzhou, Lin Zhaojie was very impressed by the rapid changes in the footwear industry in the west coast of Taiwan Strait.

He analyzed that after the pfer of shoes industry, Taiwan retained the advantages of management, technology and R & D, while the west coast of the Straits had advantages in terms of production and manpower costs, and the two sides had strong complementarity.

The other obvious development advantage of the latter is brand, which is supported by the strong consumer market in the mainland of China, while the former has developed its own footwear industry but has few brands.

Lin Zhaojie said: "Jinjiang shoe enterprises have the advantage of low production cost, while Taiwan shoe manufacturers have a perfect international marketing network. If they can complement each other's strengths, the two sides can join hands to expand the international market."

In Lin Zhaojie's eyes, the world's big brands now have more than forty or fifty years of development history, and Quanzhou's sports shoes will surely have world-class brands in 20 years.

"The shoemaking industry in Taiwan is now operating in the second generation and the third generation, and the boss in the west side of the Straits is currently the first generation and the second generation.

According to the current trend, the core of the world's shoe making industry is inseparable from the mainland of China within 10 years.

Both sides of the footwear industry share a common feature: diligence and striving.

The Chinese footwear industry has dominated the world in terms of quantity, and the shoes of future Chinese will also dominate the world in terms of quality and brand.
