According to Spain's "expansion newspaper" 23 reported that in 2007, Spain's footwear industry export performance was good, export volume and export volume has increased significantly.

Spain's footwear industry association chairman Rafael Calvo said 22, Spain's export volume and export volume increased by 7.55% and 10.14% respectively last year.

The footwear industry started well in 2008 and maintained steady export growth in emerging markets such as Eastern Europe, which were less affected by the subprime crisis. However, the development of the whole year is still hard to predict.

Calvo said that the export growth in 2007 was mainly due to the Spanish footwear industry's emphasis on design, fashion, innovation and quality, mainly in the production of high-end products, to meet the needs of the upper and middle class consumers in foreign markets.

According to Spanish customs data, the country exported 101 million 600 thousand pairs of shoes in 2007, exports amounted to 1 billion 893 million euros, 352 million 800 thousand pairs of imported shoes and 1 billion 752 million euros.
